"Tarlo Hill is a club based just outside of Taralga, Goulburn, for people who enjoy exciting equine pursuits in all its forms".

Throughout the year trips down the coast and across the snowy mountains will be run as well as getaways at Tarlo Hill.

It is somewhere for people to experience the Southern Tablelands agricultural farming experience as it was done 100 years ago, on horseback.

Unlike most other equestrian club’s THEC’s sole purpose is to offer people the all round horse experience. The club encourages multi-disciplinary equine skills and a cross pollination between all non-racing horse sports.

Tarlo Hill gives people the opportunity to escape from the hussle and bussle of city life. To reconnect with the outdoors and relax in the company of horses and like minded people.

Why Tarlo Hill Equestrian Club has been formed

Word from Wallace Ashton:

I have noticed my entire life that many people love the grazing properties of the southern tablelands and central west of NSW. They love the stock, the topography; and of course the horses. They feel they have gone back 100 years when Australia rode on the sheep's back. Every passing year this experience becomes a little more unique.

I am interested in the connection between all equestrian sports. Just as in the "old days" when the stock horse was also used to play polo, today, our ponies can do cross country, basic dressage presentation as well as polo. All these additional experiences make our horses more enjoyable and adaptable animals.
